This is a video showing a time lapse drawing of the creation of two cat commission art pet portraits for my client using the supplied images. Previously I have completed multiple dog pet portraits in the past but never Cats so this was something new. This Tortoiseshell drawing is the attempt after I found that the images that were provided made her look like a balloon given all the hair. So I slimmed down the image and looked to capture as much of the facial features as possible.
The owners were very pleased with the final images and have now asked me to complete a new image for a collection of Magpies that they regularly look after. Love this! So you can look forward to seeing these images posted in the beginning of 2020.
